A foreign national, – (i) who was a citizen of India at the time of, or at any time after 26th January, 1950; or (ii) who was eligible to become a citizen of India on 26th January, 1950; or (iii) who belonged to a territory that became part of India after 15th August, 1947; or (iv) who is a child or a grandchild or a great grandchild of such a citizen; or (v) who is a minor child of such persons mentioned above; or (vi) who is a minor child and whose both parents are citizens of India or one of the parents is a citizen of India – is eligible for registration as OCI cardholder. Indian e-Visa for Business provides permission to the non-Indian travelers to stay in India for a short time-span in which they can expand their business or represent their foreign corporation in India to improve their relationship with Indian companies.

A print out of the submitted application form should be taken and duly signed, (at two places), be produced at this High Commission along with supporting documents and requisite fees between 0900-1130 hrs Wednesday – 09.00 hrs – 12.00 hrs on working days to obtain a visa.
All persons who hold Student Visa, Employment Visa and Research Visa which are valid for more than 180 days are required to get themselves registered with the nearest Foreign Registration Office (FRO) or Foreigners Regional Registration Office (FRRO) within 14 days of arrival in India.

India also announced that all incoming travellers, including Indian nationals, arriving from any destination and having visited China, Italy, Iran, Republic of Korea, France, Spain and Germany on or after February 15, 2020 shall be quarantined for a minimum period of 14 days with effect from March 13, 2020 at the port of departure of such traveller’s.
